The VH HUGE ART SALE – The Guardians of Gaia [7th Edition]

Cherished as the greatest biography of human kind, The Guardians of Gaia is both a fascinating tale of adventure and a testament to human endurance.  The Guardians of Gaia was written over ten thousand years ago by a man known only as Nomah. His story was first discovered by explorers conducting scans on the floor of the Dead Ocean.  Preserved in a carbon fiber hold buried in layers of solid
sea clay was a mysterious plastic container Device.

The Guardians of Gaia is the only link between us and the era of our ancestors long past.  In collaboration with today’s most thoughtful artists, we have inserted visual interpretations of Nomah’s writings and put on display all the images found on Nomah’s Device.  Enjoy all 70+ pages of this heavily illustrated graphic novel at a reduced price or read it online for FREE here!

Marco Zamora and Loren Schwerd in Milwaukee

At the UWM Union Art Gallery there is an opening reception (5pm today) for their latest show Venerate: Collectors of the Human Condition, and gallery talk with Marco Zamora (4pm today).   The exhibit features Loren Schwerd’s architectural hair sculptures and Marco’s ink drawings and installation piece.  Both artists have extreme craft and vision with their materials and I would highly suggest checking this exhibit out if you are in the area. Here are some images below of their work:

Loren Schwerd:

Having worked with Marco on installing the show I have found him to be one of the most patient and thoughtful artists I’ve worked with while at the UAG. I have learned a lot by watching him work and

Decline

I’m not a total internet junkie anymore!  More time in studio and less time posting images on too many social networking/arting websites.  These past months have been some of my most productive and the time is coming soon for me to post some images of what I’ve been up to.  Stay tuned for new drawings and paintings.

Also, here are two shows I am in for the next couple months:

I will have my most recent paintings up at two places beginning this
November.  The first is a collection of paintings about Powerful People (And Some Places)
at the ArtBar in Riverwest.  The MINI show at ArtBar is a show of small scale artwork at tiny prices and will be going on Nov. 5th until Jan. 3rd. (722 E Burleigh St)

The second is a revision of a painting about Patience. The Milwaukee Odyssey Gallery Exhibition is at  MOCT beginning November 12th up until the end of the month. (240 E Pittsburgh Ave.)

Yay art!
